It’s a little in-depth, it involves editing files in your registry. Please let me know if this works for anyone else. I play a ton of Rocket League and I plug straight into my PC, no Input Mapper or other external compatibility software, so FH4 is the only game that I’ve had to use Input Mapper with. Input Mapper wouldn’t detect a controller, and my computer itself wouldn’t detect anything either. It didn’t matter if I had Input Mapper running or not. But as soon as I exited the game, my PC refused to ever acknowledge that a controller was connected to it. No weird glitchiness in the controls, everything was detecting properly. Everything was working as it should have been. I have a sort of “half-fix” for Input Mapper in that the first time I did this, it worked. I went so far as to make sure it wasn’t opening on startup. Steam has been open, and it hasn’t been open. DS4Windows doesn’t work for me, including using the trick of selecting “Hide DS4” or only selecting it when the game is already running. It also constantly gives me the error saying that it can’t run the controller in “exclusive mode” even when the option is selected. The main thing that seemed to work for everyone else, connecting the controller via Bluetooth, won’t work for me because for some reason when I’m connected via Bluetooth, Input Mapper refuses to recognize that a controller is connected. I was frustrated to all hell beforehand and almost considered trading my ps4 controller back in for an xbox.Alright, so absolutely none of the fixes suggested in here have worked for me. I am currently playing both ds1 and ds2 with a ps4 controller using ds4 for windows and everything is working fine after I went through the steps above. Let me know if youre still having problems and I will try to assist. It sometimes takes me 2 or 3 times to get it to connect while I've had it be stubborn and not work until the 10th time. Go to the first tab in ds4 and click the connect exclusively button that will temporarily disable explorer.exe which is what is interfering with ds4 that wont allow you hide the controller and stop the spinning. Close out of ALL applications especially teamspeak and steam. go to the options and click hide ds4 controller. Yes this is due to the fact that your game is reading two controllers. throwaway562205's Guide to DSFix Savegame Backupsĭemon's Souls Dark Souls 2 Dark Souls 3 Bloodborne Dark Souls Mods Dark Souls Help Summon Sign Dark Souls PvP One Bros Fashion Souls Snuggly Souls Trophy Requests.Mopquill's Multiplayer Level Calculator.nemesismonkey's Mugenmonkey Character Builder.Mud-chan's Weapon Damage & Stat Calculator.PCGamingWiki Guide to Fixing PC Version.roedtogsvart's PvP Character Build Guide.Feonix's "better online experience" tips.Event Calendar - 2023 EventĬontinue the series at /r/DarkSouls2 and /r/DarkSouls3 No AI-generated content or artwork.ĥ.)
