![]() ![]() This is perfect for removing tree stumps that are too low to hit with a normal swing. Its secondary attack is a slow but powerful overhead swing. Its primary attack is a 3 hit attack combo with double damage on the last hit. It can be used to chop down Beech, Birch, Oak, Fir, Pine, Ancient, and Yggdrasil trees. Level is required for items that have levels. Where Item Amount is, substitute the item name from the list below and how many you would like. Type: spawn Item Amount Level Spawn has to be lower case. Type devcommands (previously was imacheater) to enable cheats. And if you don’t then no harm having it to slice up something weak to slashing damage. The Jotun Bane is the sixth one-handed axe. Open your console command by pressing F5. Carry it around and use it here and there. I’m just saying don’t give up on the sword just yet. Maybe the extra lag along with mace and clubs slower attacks speed effects me more than someone else? And everyone has ways they enjoy playing. And lag is a huge issue for me so I have to anticipate things quite a bit. It’s so fast that I can get my hits in before it can land theirs very often now. Sometimes 3 hits takes out a 2 star with my sword. Same with most things besides lox or 2 star fulings. I can 2 or at max 3 hit an abomination and it’s dead. But it got there because I just kept equipping it more and more and the Frostner less over time. The sword though daaaaaang it’s so fast by comparison to the Frostner now that my sword skill is around 90. Players will be able to move quicker than while using the Serpent Shield and have the chance to. ![]() But I’d try different weapons here and there. With 90 Block Power and 60 Block Force, the Black Metal Shield is nearly the best shield in Valheim. Oh wow I adore my black metal sword !! I loved the Frostner and carried both for a long time because I’d been mace the entire time playing and had 0 sword skill. Elder is faster with a sword than a Frostner (immune to Spirit) and equal to Porcupine (not resistant to blunt and pierce, combined damage is the same), Eikthyr equal (only immune to stagger).Īlso, this means Frostner and Porcupine are essentially sidegrades, as they both do the same total damage against non-resistant enemies, but have opposite boni (living tend to be immune to Spirit, the dead and blobs tend to be resistant to Pierce (though many are also resistant to Frost). Of course, this assumes no difference in hits/second and amount of combos landed if you can hit faster with a sword, it comes on top for Yagluth. ![]() Moder will definitely be faster with a sword (resistant to blunt, immune to frost and spirit), and Yagluth will be exactly equal (35+40+20=95, no resistances or weaknesses to any of the four damage types upgrades don't change the damage difference) unless your skills are different. Even if you have 0 clubs and 100 swords, if I'm reading the boni right, the sword will only do ~101 damage on average (and if I'm reading them wrong, ~62). Pretty sure 1v1ing Bonemass with a Frostner will be faster than with even a blackmetal sword (weak to blunt and frost, resistant to slash, very resistant to pierce, so at base sword will do 95*0.5=47.5 damage, and frostner 35*1.5 blunt, 40*1.5 frost, plus 20 spirit DoT for 132.5 damage). Porcy chewed through almost anything and I could control positioning a lot easier, keeping my target(s) between me an the rest of the mob, more or less, and chewin em up.īetween Frostner and BM sword and BM Atgeir, I'm like none of the above, I'll take my trusty Porcupine. It just took me forever to kill groups because of the huge knockback, and I'd run out of stam and die. I had trouble in the Plains and mountains with Frosty. Each new biome has a host of unique materials that can be turned into weaponry. I dunno, at least it feels like it to me. Valheim weapons get better as you progress through the game and find new materials. Crucially, it unlocks the blast furnace, which is where you can craft. It's really quick, quicker than the BM sword. Take this to a crafting table and you can create the newly unlocked artisans table. With Porcupine, you're blip blap booming things. Frostner can slow enemies, which is helpful in situations, but I believe a lot of those situations can be avoided. The speed of attack, plus stamina use makes frostner less appealing to me. They do the same total damage, yeah, but that's per hit, right? Frostner's knockback is so huge you don't get those combos because you're constantly blapping everything out of your range. In my opinion, porcupine is best, followed by sword, followed by frostner. On that note though, is it really a sidegrade to Frostner? Hear me out. It's more of a side-grade to Frostner, really, but I just had a much better experience with it vs. It is unlocked after building or using a Black forge and is crafted in the Black forge. The Porcupine is a much better "upgrade" imo. ![]()
